We offer courses where no prior qualifications or experience is necessary, through to postgraduate Level 7 courses, and with our Distance Learning courses, you don't have to attend College.

There is a huge variety of subjects to choose from at various levels for differing abilities and requirements. You can learn a new skill or hobby with our leisure type courses, or earn professional and university level qualifications with University Centre Somerset.

Our teams offer an impartial, confidential service to help you decide which type or level of course is best for you, and provide information about funding, health and wellbeing, plus support for those with learning difficulties and disabilities.

How to Apply

Applying to study a course at College may seem daunting but we’re here to support you.

We strongly recommend that you apply or enrol for your chosen course as soon as possible. This will secure your place and help us assess whether we have sufficient numbers. We aim to run all of the courses advertised however, we do need a minimum number of enrolments on each course to make this possible.

Apply

Courses marked ‘Apply’ require you to complete an application form. You can do this online via the course page or by completing a paper form and posting it back to us.

Once we have received your application we will arrange an interview with a tutor to ensure that the course is right for you.

If you would like to complete a paper application form, please download the form or alternatively call our Information & Advice team on 01278 441234 and they will send one to you. Return your completed form to Information & Advice, Bridgwater & Taunton College, Bath Road, Bridgwater, Somerset, TA6 4PZ.

Enrol

Courses marked ‘Enrol’ require you to complete an enrolment form and provide payment for the course. You can complete an enrolment form online, in person, by post or over the telephone.

To enrol online, click the button at the bottom of the course information page, then follow the steps to complete the enrolment. To enrol online you must be aged 19 or over, have been resident in the UK for the past three years, and able to pay in full by credit or debit card.

If you wish to complete an enrolment form in person you can visit our Information & Advice team at our Bridgwater campus. Please note you will need to make a full payment at the time of enrolment by cash, cheque or credit/debit card.

If you wish to enrol over the telephone, please call the Information & Advice team on 01278 441234 during office hours. You will need to have the course details to hand, plus the debit or credit card you wish to make payment with.

Please note: if you are eligible for a fee remission, you will need to enrol in person so that you can sign to prove you are eligible, and we may need to see evidence. Contact us on 01278 441234 to find out which documents you will need to provide.

Telephone

Courses marked ‘Telephone’ require you to call 01278 441234 for further information. These courses will run on demand, so by registering your interest, it helps us to determine the popularity of a course and when we can run it.

University & Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS)

For full-time university-level courses, you must apply through UCAS. You will need to quote the UCAS course code which is obtainable directly from UCAS at www.ucas.com or from the University Centre Somerset website.
