Do you have a particular talent in sport or the performing arts? Are you a high-flyer in land-based studies, or someone with exquisite academic potential? Do you hope to attend a top-ten university, or read a discipline like medicine?
If so, you can apply for a scholarship after you put in an application to study at Bridgwater & Taunton College (BTC). You must have applied to a course or be a current student at BTC to be considered for a scholarship or bursary. This is a wonderful opportunity to have your ability recognised. A scholarship is designed to fan the flames of your ambition, so that you have the very best start to your academic adventure.
Available scholarships:
If you have to keep a tight hold on the purse strings, bursaries are designed to help with the cost of materials, transport and equipment, and vary in amount. The Somerset Duke of Edinburgh Bursary Fund is available to those working towards the DofE Award. The Cornish Mutual Young Farmer Bursary is open to any student studying an agriculture-based Level 1, 2, or 3 course at BTC.
You could also apply for help with transport, childcare or accommodation, plus there is a 16 to 19 Bursary Fund. There is also a Vulnerable Groups Bursary, Advanced Learner Loan Bursary and Free School Meals available to those in low income households. Please see our Bursaries and Financial Support page for further information.
