Bridgwater College’s Golf Centre recently welcomed Paul Barrington and his Trick Shot Golf Show, and saw over 100 visitors attend the sunny afternoon.

Paul, former World Trick Shot Champion, two-times British Long Drive Champion and PGA West Region Captain in 2005, showed off his skills and trick shots as part of the free family-friendly afternoon. Paul was given his first golfing lessons aged 12, by Cannington Golf Centre’s very own resident professional Ron Macrow!

Paul did tricks such as striking 50 balls with two clubs nonstop, hitting shots from the knees, mid-air and through pieces of chipboard! He said,

“I was really looking forward to coming to Cannington Golf Club to perform my Golf Trick Show where Ron Macrow is the Club Manager/Professional, as it was Ron who got me started in golf some 36 years ago. Hopefully he will see what he told me all those many years ago has really paid off!”
