The McMillan Theatre, Bridgwater, is delighted to announce that Geno Washington, the 1960s’ Soul artist, will be performing on Saturday 12 December, with the Ram Jam Band.
Geno Washington is regarded as a cult hero by fans of Soul, R&B and Northern Soul music, due to his unsurpassable reputation as a live performer. Described as:
“Electrifying on stage, and his love of performance (and of life!), makes him an inspiration, a joy to witness, and one of the greatest frontmen from the latter half of the 20th century”.
Geno had two of the biggest selling UK albums of the sixties, with songs including Hand Clappin' Foot Stompin' Funky Butt Live.
There will be a DJ before and after Geno's performance and the event will finish at midnight. There is also a buffet available from 7.30pm, which costs £9 per person, and must be pre-booked. Groups of 10 or more will get one free ticket, when booked together by calling 01278 556677.
