The 2015/16 season saw Team BC Netball field two teams and resulted in a challenging but successful year.
The Elite team competed in the AoC South West Category Two (South) alongside strong opponents in PETROC and Truro College. Team BC Elite made a great start with convincing wins over Exeter College and Truro and Penwith College, giving them an early season momentum. All games seemed to be going to the wire as there was no clear winner until the final whistle.
Towards the end of the season, there were three teams battling for the top position as Elite set up a final game showdown against PETROC to determine the outcome of the league. Both teams played out a well-fought draw meaning both teams would miss out on the top spot. Team BC Elite finished third in their league, a great and honourable achievement in a league of this standard.
The Team BC Performance squad competed in the 'Somerset Colleges Partnership Participation League' alongside teams from Richard Huish and Weston College. The team soon made their presence known, with an unbeaten record until the final two fixtures. Again, a very successful and honourable achievement to be proud of.
Both squads have enjoyed regular friendlies against various teams and team socials throughout the year and showed that they are a great showcase of what Team BC is about, Pride, Togetherness and Respect.
