Students and staff of Bridgwater & Taunton College will be once again raising money for three worthwhile charities when they celebrate their annual Raise and Give (RAG) Day on Thursday 15 December.

This year’s charities, which were chosen by the College’s Student Union, will be, Unicef, Children’s Hyperinsulinism Charity and In Charley’s Memory.

An action-packed day has been planned at the Bridgwater Centre with a Rolladisco, fashion show, bubble football, Wild West, and a DJ showcase to name just a few. A vintage bus provided by Crossville Motor Services will be taking students on tours of Bridgwater. Student and staff will also be dressing up for the day with prizes for the craziest and most imaginative costumes.

Thomas Folland (President, Bridgwater & Taunton College Student Union), Mark Nettle (Director of Student Services) and PC Joseph Piscina (Avon and Somerset Police)

Music students will be putting on a fantastic music concert on Cornhill from 12pm. Everyone is welcome to come along and support the students and donate to the chosen charities we are supporting this year.

The College is working hard with the Police, the Southwest Ambulance Service and Trading Standards to ensure that a fun, but safe time is had by all. Mark Nettle, Director of Student Services at Bridgwater & Taunton College said,

“We’re looking forward to another great RAG Day with lots going on in College for our students. The atmosphere is always special and we’re delighted to be working with the police and other services to ensure that a safe time is had by all. Come and enjoy some festive tunes with our student in the town centre and donate to some very worthwhile charities!”
