Students studying Business and Travel at Bridgwater & Taunton College held their first trading event just before Christmas which was a great success, raising money for charities such as McMillian Cancer Support and Think Amy, to name a few.
The students organised a variety of stalls to be present including a Chinese gift shop, cake shops, bath bomb shop and a raffle. Students are now busy planning their next trading day which will be in February.
Enterprise planning is an integral part of the students Study Programme as it provides a unique opportunity for student to get in touch with their entrepreneurial side to plan, develop and implement an idea. The skills students develop from this experience include time management, organisational, team working, problem solving, marketing, budgeting and communication skills.
