Team BTC Netballer Emily Rossiter has been selected for the AoC Sport National Netball Squad. Emily attended trials in December at Nottingham University with AoC Sport National Netball coach Julie Kimber.
Over 60 girls attended the final trials and with just 21 vacancies for the squad it was set to be an intense and competitive day. Players were put through their paces with skills and drills, followed by game play. During the Christmas break selections were made and Emily was informed of her success.
Emily’s selection requires her to attend National training and fixtures in locations right across the country including Belfast, Derby and Cardiff.
Emily said,
“I’m so nervous but so excited to have the opportunity to train and play at this high level! I’ve loved playing netball from a young age and to be given this opportunity is amazing. Thank you to the College for putting me forward for trials, and for their support.”
Emily studies Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Sport (Coaching & Development) and is a part of the Team BTC Netball team at Bridgwater & Taunton College. She therefore enjoys access to regular coaching from experienced coaches and a competitive games programme.
