Bridgwater & Taunton College recently hosted the launch of the GoLandscape training bursaries provided by BALI (British Association of Landscape Industries).

Students are able to apply for a bursary which will enable them to undertake additional qualifications such as Safe use of Brushcutters, Application of Pesticides and become a registered member of the Landscape Industry Skills Scheme (LISS). These additional qualifications will further enhance the student’s employability as they are often an essential criteria by employers and will support our high level of progression into industry related employment.

Tom Cunningham, Course Leader for Horticulture said,

“The BALI training bursary is a fantastic opportunity for our students to gain qualifications which are essential for them to progress into the industry. This is just another brilliant reason why people should consider studying towards a course in Horticulture & Landscaping at Bridgwater & Taunton College. We are very thankful for the support of BALI and its members in providing this bursary fund and helping us in training the industries.“

Our Horticulture courses cover a broad range of exciting industry skills and knowledge from Landscaping and Design, Amenity Gardening to the production of food and plants. We have a range of full-time courses available, as well as Apprenticeships. Find out more on this website or by calling the Information & Guidance team on 01278 441234.
