Bridgwater & Taunton College recently welcomed Capita Travel and Events to give an overview of the business and to promote work experience to a group of over 50 Business and Travel & Tourism students at the McMillan Theatre. Students from both the Bridgwater and Taunton campuses attended the talk by Andy Pearce (Leadership Coach) & Becky Loxton (Team Manager) who gave them an insight in to the dynamic world of business travel. This was a great opportunity for our students to hear from an award winning national company, who have an office based in Taunton, and to give them some industry context to complement their studies.

Both Andy and Becky highlighted the importance of work experience, whilst also using the event to promote their opportunities within the company. A number of current employees completed work experience with Capita, demonstrating the value of such opportunities.

As a result, Bridgwater & Taunton College students are already applying to complete their work experience with Capita, so we look forward to working with them further in the future!
