Level 2 Computing and Digital Industries students worked with local charity ‘Time to Change’ earlier in the year to produce an interactive game to help raise awareness and change attitudes to be more positive about mental health. The goal of the project was to create a game that could help to start more positive conversations about mental health issues, bust mental health myths and be a new avenue to education about the initiatives goals.

Outcomes of the projects were presented to Marc Lewis and Scott Burnett of the Time to Change social movement who said:

It was a great privilege to work with Jim Shaun and the Computing and Digital Industries students at Bridgwater & Taunton College to produce a range of computer games and applications that support tackling mental health stigma and discrimination. We hope that through this work the students learnt how 1 in 4 of us are effected by mental health issues.

Student Kyle Rex Rogers who worked on the project said:

It was a really good project to do for a new client but was very challenging to come up with a response to the brief as it can be really hard to visualise mental health in a visual product with graphics.
