Drawing on expertise from employers who will help shape the direction and ensure the Welding Centre of Excellence (WCoE) is focused on the latest industry skills requirements, the curriculum is being shaped and developed using the power of Weldability Sif.
The skills and training at the WCoE will include training for new entrants into the industry and upskilling, training and assessing for those already employed in the sector.
With a clear focus on specific technical skills needs requiring for welding and associated welding professions, the WCoE will provide employers with a skilled workforce and students with a clear route to technical employment.
