Course Overview

Studying Historyprovides an insight into how historians investigate and interpret the past, equipping you withthe tools to examine historical and contemporary sources to determine their reliability and utility.

This subject enables you to develop the skills of a working historian by understanding the historical key concepts of change, continuity, causation, consequence, significance and perspectives.

Spotlight

I love A Levels – they allow me to discuss a broad range of topics and the fact that I was able to select three subjects that I really enjoy means I have fun whilst learning, and don't feel restricted. They complement one another nicely, helping me progress onto university where I will study Journalism. I definitely feel like they give me a lot of skills I wouldn't have had if I hadn't studied A Levels at this college.
