BUFC and BTC

BUFC considers education paramount to each player’s development, so works with BTC to offer dual-career opportunities for aspiring footballers keen to grow their football-specific skills while in education. This has led to the Player Performance Pathway.

The Player Performance Pathway

The BUFC and BTC Player Performance Pathway for women footballers offers qualifying BTC students:

• Over 13 hours of training and competitive sessions each week at the highest level of football, including:
  • Pitch-based training fixtures.
  • Gym-based strength and conditioning sessions.
• Access to UEFA Qualified coaches.
• Specialist training in match analysis, emergency first aid, and other related areas.
• Study options in Bridgwater, Cannington and Taunton.
• Residential accommodation.
• Sports Scholarship.

Players selected for BUFC also attend extra training sessions with the club’s first team and have an additional Sunday fixture.

Who Can Apply

The BUFC and BTC Player Performance Pathway for women footballers is open to any BTC student who is already part of Team BTC, our nationally-recognised sports academy programme. Members are selected from the Under-21s academy and need to reach a certain standard.
