Students on Bridgwater & Taunton College’s Dog Grooming courses have spent the day learning tips and tricks from Colin Taylor, judge on the BBC’s Pooch Perfect.

Twelve BTC students attended the event, where Colin demonstrated a range of handling and grooming techniques. Colin gave invaluable tips whilst he was demonstrating the techniques he uses; he clearly explained each step and gave further tips for different styles which could be achieved. Colin has worked in Dog Grooming for over 25 years and shared his experience and advice on starting and developing a Dog Grooming business. The students gained so much from a relaxed and fun day.

Course Lecturer Janine said,

When choosing which guest speakers we wanted, Colin was our first choice. We had a really great day with him; Colin was so down-to-earth, generous, and informative and made sure that we could all see his demonstrations clearly. It was a great opportunity to learn from a real expert in the field and we hope to be able to offer similar events to our Dog Grooming students in the future.

Colin Taylor commented,

I had the best day at BTC and the facilities were beautiful. I would like to thank Janine for inviting me and I hope to visit again soon.
