Course Overview

Bulid a set of pole exercises and watch and observe riders working over them.

A practical hands on evening for anyone who wants to develop their skills in building a showjumping course and ground pole schooling exercises. Future course builders and trainee instructors alike will be provided with clear basic guidelines to follow in planning, building fences and ground pole exercises.

  • Types of fences
  • Jumping Distances
  • Pole and Jump Exercises to help develop the horse and rider
  • Developing observation skills

Spotlight

Throughout the week we have classroom-based theory lessons like stud management, horse fitness and training, equestrian teaching and business. I also ride twice a week at College; I have a lesson improving my riding technique on the flat with Gold Medallist endurance rider Jane McGuiness, and a jumping lesson.
