March 2024

After building the confidence to work safely in our Automotive workshops, our Electric Vehicle after school club were tasked with exploring the modern technology being utilised in our region today.

The learners were required to appropriately conduct a high voltage shut down procedure required to carry out investigation and maintenance routines on a Hybrid or Electric Vehicle.

Using our specialist teaching rig allowed the learners to conduct the shut down procedure and remove the breaker switch; testing the high voltage breaker point as they went along to ensure a safe voltage state.
