Bridgwater & Taunton College (BTC) Foundation to T Level Education & Early Years students worked especially hard to research and prepare a range of Easter themed activities for children aged 0-5 years of age.
The students worked as a professional team, hosting fifteen families from the local community. Staff, students, families and their children enjoyed engaging with an Easter Egg-stravaganza; each had an egg-cellent time!
100% of parents rated the sessions as either “good” or “excellent”, and kindly provided feedback around the activities and student engagement with their little ones.
When reached for comment, a parent stated,
There was free play, messy play, crafts and role play. I loved the range of activities, and the kids enjoyed it too.
Another parent wanted to thank the student organisers and staff,
It was a wonderful event that my children thoroughly enjoyed. A huge thank you to all the staff and students involved!
T Level courses continue to innovate and provide fantastic work placement opportunities and training in real-world environments, with excellent results year-on-year. This continues the trend of T Levels offering a transformative educational experience to ready students for varied career paths in their future – whether primary teaching, nursery settings or many more.

BTC’s Stay and Play sessions will continue, providing a comfortable and engaging space for young children, as well as rewarding and valuable experiences for our students.
Mel Sutton, Course Leader, said,
Celebrating and facilitating events like our Easter-themed stay and play not only enriches the learning experience for our students but also strengthens the bond between our college and the local community. It’s a wonderful opportunity for parents to actively engage with their children while supporting our students in their journey to becoming confident and capable early years practitioners.
If you know a local nursery setting, child minder or preschool who would be interested in a Stay and Play session at BTC, please get in touch with Kristie Cable at cablek@btc.ac.uk.
