Students will have worked with clay before and will be ready to explore new techniques including more advanced pattern making, throwing techniques and working with finishes and glazes in more depth.
You will learn to develop your skills with instructor-led support from Tony Francis, an experienced educator and practising artist. The second part of the course will be dedicated to applying these techniques towards the design and creation of your own ceramics project.
The main materials and equipment to be used will be provided and are covered within the course fees but depending on the specificity of your project, students may need to provide their own materials.

An apprenticeship has been the best option for me since I benefit from working in the industry as well as gaining a qualification. College days give me time to work on my assignments and explore features in the software I haven't covered at work. During the rest of the week, I develop client relationships which help build my confidence and improve my ability to express ideas.
