Bridgwater & Taunton College (BTC) students were celebrating outstanding A Level and T Level results today, highlighting another year of stellar academic performances and individual triumphs.
Students achieved a remarkable 100% pass rate across 21 A-Level subjects, with a number of subjects achieving 100% A*-C grades. Subjects such as English Language and Literature and Sociology saw a record number of A* to B grades.
T Level results were some of the best in the country. A high proportion of students achieved a distinction. Health, Early Years, Design, Surveying and Planning students achieved 100% high grades, with T Levels in Digital achieving a superb 90% high grades.
Andy Berry CBE, Principal & Chief Executive of BTC, said “Results day is always a big day for students and everyone who’s supported them on their academic journey. Their hard work and dedication has paid off, I’m excited to see them progress to prestigious universities or begin promising careers.”
Louise Rowley Vice Principal of BTC added, “Today is the culmination of two years of hard work and it’s wonderful to be able to celebrate the amazing results of our students today. I am absolutely delighted, they should be incredibly proud. They have bright futures ahead of them.”
Students have accepted places at top Universities such as Oxford, Bristol, Cardiff and Manchester to study a variety of subjects such as Law, Criminology, Paramedic Science and Nursing whilst others have secured highly sought after, competitive degree level apprenticeships in areas such as Nuclear Engineering and Software Engineering.
A Level student Riley said “I am so so proud of my results, it means I’ve got into Brighton University. I’m looking forward to celebrating with my mum this evening.”
T Level Nursing student Amy said, “I’m so happy, I got a distinction. I’ve decided to take a gap year and then apply to study a nursing degree at university.”
