Course Overview

Are you looking to redesign your garden or interested in the concepts of garden design?This short course will allow you to evaluate your site and guideyou to develop adesign, based on the design brief.Real life opportunities will allow you to design a garden build to be judged at the royal bath & west show 2024.

Units of study/what is involved:

  • Site evaluation and analysis
  • Soft landscaping- plant characteristics and requirements
  • Hard landscaping features
  • Looking at design briefs and how to meet objectives
  • Health and Safety considerations and working to bring the plan to life
  • Sourcing materials
  • Show garden build

Additional costs:

PPE safety boots for show build- learners to provide

Some prior experience or plant knowledge would be beneficial.

Attendance Requirements Participating with the show garden build is optional. However, to be able to take part in the show build regular attendance is crucial. Some additional time outside of study time will be required.
