Bridgwater & Taunton College (BTC) had the opportunity to host an advanced training weekend for members of the Tellington TTouch® British Isles Guild.
Tellington TTouch® is specialised approach to the care and training of companion animals, horses, and exotic animals. Developed by Linda Tellington-Jones, it focuses on healing, positive animal training, and communication.
BTC was approached by committee members of the British Isles Guild to host the weekend, selected due to the incredible facilities and wide-range of animals within their collection.
Organised by Katharine Brunsch and Tina Constance – TT Touch® Practitioners and committee members of the British Isles Guild – the event hosted over a dozen other practitioners to deliver a weekend of training to their members.
BTC technicians supported the event, which provided them the opportunity to observe and take part in new training methods to compliment their own skills. They were on-hand to help the training sessions run smoothly, showcasing BTC’s extensive animal collection and knowledge.
This new relationship with the British Isles Guild is something to cherish – with members offering to return as guest speakers to students, and conduct specialist workshops to help with their knowledge and skills.

It was a pleasure to host the Tellington TTouch® guild and their members for this exciting training weekend. We were glad to be recognised for our excellent collection of animals and state-of-the-art facilities, and hope this is but the start of a fantastic relationship that will benefit all involved.
Tina Constance, TT Touch Practitioner, commented,
I wanted to personally thank Kirstie and the team for making the weekend so enjoyable for all the participants. It was so lovely to be in such a friendly environment, and we are so grateful to all the amazing staff and animals. It made teaching so much fun!
