In close communication with local schools, our School Transition Officers work with staff to ensure students experience a smooth and robust transition to college.

Our transitions team actively attends annual reviews at schools when invited, allowing them to begin building positive relationships with students and parents / carers early on. They also visit schools to meet students, offer tours and visits to help them get comfortable with the college environment, and facilitate taster sessions to give students a real feel for the courses they’ve chosen.

For students who may need a longer transition, our officers can develop a personalised programme to gradually ease them into college life over the year. If any concerns arise regarding accessing college or choosing courses, our transitions team are always available to meet with students, parents, and professionals to explore the best path forward. We’re here to ensure every student feels supported as they take the next step in their education.
