Course Overview

This course is for learners who are at least 16 years of age. It is suitable for experienced practising electricians who are required to inspect and test electrical installations in accordance with the 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations, those who wish to further their career in the electrotechnical sector and those who wish to gain an industry recognised qualification. This course combines the electrical, inspection, testing and certification of Electrial Installation.

This course forms part of the requirements for NICEIC/NAPIT registrations.You will need your own copy of IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition, IET On-Site Guide and IET Guidance Note 3: Inspection and Testing.

Assessment Methods

The assessment for this course consists of one online exam and a series of practical assessments carried out in our workshop.

There are no formal entry requirements, however, learners must have the potential to achieve all aspects of the qualifications.

Attendance Requirements The course runs over eight consecutive weeks (one day a week) and then a separate day is arranged with each candidate for practical assessment in our workshop.
