Who the course is for- Anyone who wants to improve on there Equine presentation skils or want to have a go at showing.
Learners will develop the theoretical and practical skills of preparing and presenting horses. They will be required to prepare and present horses in an efficient and effective manner for presentation and inspection.
Units of study/what is involved:
Sensible clothes should always be worn when dealing with horses. A protective riding hat is essential when working with horses but can be provided. Sturdy boots and gloves should be worn when handling horses. Protective clothing should be fitted correctly. When working around horses, the wearing of jewellery should be avoided.
Work towards an indursty reconighsed qualification or course BHS stage 2.

Throughout the week we have classroom-based theory lessons like stud management, horse fitness and training, equestrian teaching and business. I also ride twice a week at College; I have a lesson improving my riding technique on the flat with Gold Medallist endurance rider Jane McGuiness, and a jumping lesson.
