A practical course for the amateur gardener or those who wish to develop their horticultural knowledge and skills without undertaking end of year assessments. The advanced course builds on foundational horticultural knowledge to allow for the development of practical skills and techniques at a higher level.
The BTCC Advanced Practical Horticultural skills course will include the following content:
Plant Propagation: Seed, Vegetative, Budding, Grafting and other propagation techniques.
Who the course is for
Ideal for those who have studied a level 2 practical horticultural course, looking to use skills for their own interest or developing knowledge and application for future employment.
Additional costs
There may be some additional costs for organised trips.
No end of year assessment for this course.
Further L3 programmes; RHS L3 Diploma which includes; L3 certificate in practical horticulture, L3 Certificate in the Principles of plant growth, Garden Planning and Applied Propagation, Level 3 Award in Horticultural Investigation.
