Course Overview

This course is open to anyone interested in learning more about the fundementals of garden design with a view to making changes in their own garden or as a taster before taking the accredited RHS Level 2 & 3 Horticulture route.

This is a new course offered following some learner feedback. It makes good use of our specialist staff.

It is an introduction to Garden Design covering the key topics in designing a garden – Site Appraisal, Design Principles, Hard & Soft Landscaping Features and an element of Draughting.

Assessment Methods

This is a non-accredited course and includes no formal assessments.

Progression Options

We run a number of Horticulture courses including a City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 Horticulture as well as part-time RHS accredited courses in Horticulture at Levels 2 and 3.

There are no entry requirements for this course excepting an enthusiasm to
learn more about garden design principles in the company of like-minded
individuals.

Attendance Requirements Every Wednesday evening for six weeks. Please note there is no session on 31st October.

Spotlight
