Distance learning, also known as online learning, is a type of education where the students are not physically present in a classroom. Instead, they learn through online materials, allowing students to learn from anywhere in the world at their own pace.
There are several ways that online education is making learning more accessible:
- Distance Learning is Affordable – Distance Learning courses at BTC are FREE to those who are eligible, check out our eligibility criteria here.
- Distance Learning is Flexible – Online courses can be accessed from anywhere in the world, at any time of day or night. This makes it possible for students to learn around their other commitments, such as work or family.
- Distance Learning is Accessible – During your Distance Learning course, you will have access to support from a specialist tutor to ensure you get the best outcome possible.
- Distance Learning is Valuable – Our selection of Level 2 and Level 3 courses are nationally recognised and can enhance your chances of progression. Furthermore, from an employer’s perspective, enabling staff to gain new skills allows room for progression and higher levels of staff motivation.
Distance learning is making learning more accessible for everyone. It is a flexible, affordable and an easily accessible way to learn. As the technology continues to improve, we can expect to see this way of learning to become increasingly popular, with even more people taking advantage of this opportunity to learn.
