BTC Agriculture students have been fortunate to be given the opportunity to engage and work alongside industry representatives. The students have benefitted from demonstrations on machinery and industry career talks from CASE IH, James Pryce, Hawkins Agri, Redlynch Tractors, Hunt Forest Group and C&O Tractors. The students and staff were extremely grateful to these partners who have given up their valuable time to add to their college experience.
Exciting work opportunities were raised within the talks to provide an insight to what these companies have to offer. Students were also able to get involved in practical trials of machines and utilise the latest agricultural technology that is available on the market.

It is fantastic that the students have the opportunity to work with industry. I am very grateful for the time that each of the dealers have given up bringing demo tractors for the students to explore and the history of the brands. Agriculture has lots of career paths which were highlighted throughout the discussion with the students. I would like to say a big thank you to our partners and we look forward to the continued support in the coming years.
Tom Cunningham, Curriculum Manager for Agriculture, Food and Land Management said,
We pride ourselves on our excellent industry relationships, which allow us to enrich the students experience through this varied employer engagement activity. It is vital that students gain exposure to as much of the broad agricultural industry as possible and as such our students benefit from an excellent range of guest lecturers, masterclasses, visits, and practicals to support their programmes. Agri-tech is the future of agriculture, and we thank those industry partners who support us to be at the forefront of these developments.
