Level 3 Animal Management students recently visited Crufts. 51 students from across the College’s five centres headed for the LG Arena near Birmingham to study the evolution of canine breeds and their standards within the Kennel Club.

The visit was designed to enrich the Animal Welfare and Breed Development course unit by taking a closer look at the variety of species available at Terrier & Hound day.

Lauren Gird, a current Level 3 student at the Cannington centre said, “This trip has inspired me to pursue a career in dog training after seeing the variety of exhibitions and competitions at the show.” Dogs are a very popular companion animal among our students, which led Jordan Clarke to comment, “Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our life whole”.
