The Ministry of Defence’s Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) based at Filton, Bristol, are now recruiting both Advanced and Degree Level apprentices in partnership with Bridgwater College.
Phil Rotherham, Senior Apprentice Development Manager DE&S, met with current full time Engineering students at the College to introduce them to the all the exciting Apprenticeship opportunities available to them.
DE&S plays a vital role in maintaining military operational capability by acquiring and supporting a wide range of world class equipment and services. To achieve their goals, they are looking for candidates with diverse backgrounds and disciplines, including, project management, engineering, information technology, finance, procurement and logistics.
Paul Goss, Head of Engineering at Bridgwater College said,
“Apprenticeships are crucial for DE&S in order to meet the future demands and challenges placed upon them. They currently offer a number of top class Apprenticeship opportunities to future engineers. Our students were left inspired by Phil’s talk and are now in the process of completing applications for the current apprentice vacancies.”

Representatives from DE&S will be visiting Bridgwater College as part of the Apprenticeship and Careers Open Evening on Thursday 10 March 2016, from 6.30pm-8.30pm.
