Bridgwater College welcomed senior members of staff from Huai’an College in China and members of their regional Government to discuss ways in which a partnership could be formed and for the two colleges work together in the future.

Huai’an College is a large vocational College who has gained the full support of its provincial government officials in Jiangsu to embrace the model of a large UK successful educational institution to help enhance their curriculum offer.

Bridgwater College have an excellent reputation for the Early Years and Care provision they offer and are thought leaders in the development of this subject area. Huai’an College’s Principal Mr Huang Shaoji was extremely impressed with the level of provision Bridgwater College offers and was keen to replicate a similar model in China.

Matt Tudor, Head of Business Development at Bridgwater College added,

“This partnership falls very much in alignment with the agenda set by both Prime Ministers of our respective countries.”

Both colleges signed an agreement of cooperation and were excited about the benefits the partnership could bring, particularly the educational pathways that their students may encounter.
