A Bridgwater College student and Team BC rugby player has recently been selected for the Somerset U17 representative squad to play against Dorset and Cornwall.
Carl Guest, who is studying a BTEC Level 3 in Sport Development, Coaching and Fitness at Bridgwater College, not only plays for the College’s Team BC rugby team but currently plays club rugby as prop for Bridgwater and Albion RFC. On reflection of his recent achievement Carl said,
“It is a great honour to be selected for your county, and I’m very grateful for the support the College has given me in both my physical and rugby development.”
Roy Davies, Team BC Rugby Coach at Bridgwater College said,
Carl has worked extremely hard this season and used the training and playing opportunities within the College in order to further his game and develop as a player. Carl is very aware that he still has lots of improvements to make as a player, but if he maintains his focus and continues to attend training sessions I’m confident that he will reach his potential.”
