Bridgwater & Taunton College is thrilled to announce the success of the International Women’s Day celebration at the National College for Nuclear (NCfN). Organised by Sky-Elouise Hopkins, a Nuclear Engineering Degree Apprentice and the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Manager at the UCS Students’ Union, the event marked a significant milestone in promoting gender diversity in STEM fields.
Sky-Elouise Hopkins spearheaded the event with a clear vision: to inspire and empower women in the STEM sectors, focusing on engineering and nuclear industries. The event featured guest speakers who shared motivational insights and practical advice to encourage women to pursue and excel in STEM careers.
“The NCFN IWD event was a fantastic addition to the UCS Calendar, bringing together students and staff from diverse backgrounds to celebrate women on campus and in STEM fields. I am extremely pleased with the turnout and the progressive discussions that took place. A heartfelt thank you to all participants and organizers,”
said Sky-Elouise Hopkins.
