Bridgwater & Taunton College has received a donation from international body armour company SafeGuard Clothing for use on its Public Services courses. The premium bulletproof vests will be used by lecturers to better illustrate the necessity for safety equipment in the line of work for front line service operatives and educate students on different threats and standards.

SafeGuard Clothing has recently embarked on a mission to form partnerships with regional and national education institutions to assist with materials and information that benefit students. We are happy that Bridgwater & Taunton College is amongst those that have been selected to receive a donation, which gives students a unique insight into the safety equipment their students might use later on in their career.

Thomas Bowman, speaking on behalf of SafeGuard Clothing said,

“We have made it a priority to partner with local colleges such as Bridgwater & Taunton College and offer our support, expertise and guidance to assist their students in understanding how protection against knives and guns actually works and better prepare them for the line of work they have chosen.”

Bridgwater & Taunton College faculty members have expressed gratitude to SafeGuard for the donation as it offers our students a progressive learning experience to advance their knowledge and skills in their chosen field. Such level of corporate and social responsibility is a positive example that creates vital opportunities and enhances the quality of our educational program.
