On Thursday 28 July, Bridgwater College completed an Assessment Centre for Clancy Docwra’s September 2016 intake of Water Utility Apprentices. The day consisted of a mixture of industry specific practical activities testing for competency and dexterity, combined with communication activities and group exercises to help identify potential apprentice fits.

Clancy Docwra Assessment Day

The day was designed in partnership with Clancy Docwra by Bridgwater College and was attended by 12 Clancy Docwra members of staff to support, alongside four members of staff from Bridgwater College, including Alan Rowlingson Baker who is the Specialist Trainer for Water Utilities. Overall they were looking for 16 apprentices.

The day was well attended and fun for all those involved and saw some budding Water Engineers in the making. The day was held at Bridgwater College’s state-of-the-art Construction Skills and Innovation Centre (CSIC) and saw candidates travelling from as far as Dover and London Counties to attend.
