A student studying the Level 3 Diploma in Football Coaching in Community Settings in partnership with Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust at Bridgwater & Taunton College has recently accepted the role of Chairperson with the new National Student Leadership Committee (NSLC) as part of English Colleges Football Association (ECFA).
Oli Moore, who is studying the second year of his course, accepted the exciting role with the ECFA, making this Oli’s second chairperson role this season, as he was appointed the Somerset FA Youth Council Chairperson in August. The NSLC is a team of 12 ECFA Football Hub College Activators, who contribute to the Association of Colleges’ sport strategy to get more students active through football, with priorities including female football, diversity and inclusion, media and leadership.
On reflection of his new role, Oli Moore, who lives in Yeovil said,
“I am delighted to announce my new position as Chairperson of the English Colleges FA National Student Leadership Committee. I can't wait to start working in this very exciting team, making a difference and inspiring others. To have this role alongside my role as chairperson of the Somerset FA Youth Council will enable me to use my experiences to have the biggest possible impact within both roles. I would like to thank everyone involved in my volunteering journey so far. I can't wait to begin the next chapter in my progression.”
Michelle Yeowell, Course Leader and Oli’s tutor said,
“Many congratulations to Oli on his appointment as chairperson for ECFA. He is extremely hardworking and manages to combine his college work, volunteering, part time work and two chairperson roles. He is a dedicated individual who is constantly trying to engage others through the power of football, both in the county and at College.”
