A group of Level 3 Horticulture students from Bridgwater & Taunton College assisted in the bulb planting at Forde Abbey, near Chard.
The students contributed towards the planting of 33,000 tulip bulbs as part of a spring display within the gardens and also benefitted from a tour of the gardens by Head Gardener Danny Burlingham.
Tom Cunningham, Course Leader for Horticulture said,
“It was a pleasure to be able to assist Forde Abbey Gardens with the project and offered a good practical experience for the students. We are always keen to get involved in the local community projects and is very much a strong part of the ‘Bridgwater & Taunton College Advantage’.”
Danny Burlingham, Head Gardener at Forde Abbey Gardens said,
“We are very grateful for the assistance that the Horticulture students offered with the mass bulb planting. We have designed a new scheme within the formal gardens and will be a fantastic spring display!
