Bridgwater & Taunton College (BTC) are delighted to accept a generous donation from Lyons Seafoods, which has provided our students with cutting-edge equipment to support their education and skill development. The equipment, which includes a specialised tank and rainfall machine, will play a key role in enhancing practical learning opportunities for engineering students.
Duncan James, Manufacturing Manager and Site Engineer at Lyons Seafoods said:
We are very grateful for the apprentices Lyons Seafoods have been fortunate to have seen grow and develop at BTC. It’s great to be able to give back something that I know will help future engineers on their journey to become skilled professionals.
This kind gesture is a testament to the strong relationship between BTC and Lyons Seafoods, as well as the shared commitment to empowering young talent and shaping the next generation.
BTC’s Head of Automotive and Engineering remarked:
We are incredibly grateful to Lyons Seafoods for their support. This donation is more than just equipment—it’s an investment in our students’ futures, equipping them with the tools they need to excel in the industry.
BTC remains committed to forging strong partnerships with local employers to provide students with outstanding education and real-world experience.
