Team BTC travelled to Gower for the first time and due to illness and injury on the day unfortunately only had 11 players, however, they put up a very spirited performance.

It was an even first 20 minutes with both teams looking to play a good brand of football.

On 25 minutes an individual bit of brilliance from Harry Butler saw him wriggle his way through two defenders and he calmly slotted home to give Team BTC the lead.

Gower pressed but great defending from the whole BTC team, especially, Winter, Sanford and Mead, came in to half time 1-0 up.

Gower stepped it up in the second half and their pressure paid off on 60 minutes when they were awarded a penalty and scored to make it 1-1. With 15 minutes left and no subs Gower scored the winner with a deflected shot to make it 2-1.

With 2 minutes to go Team BTC could have earned a draw when an inviting cross from Noah Coppin found Butler at the back post who volleyed just wide.

Result:
Gower College 2 Team BTC 1

Man of the Match:
Kyle Winter – well deserved for coming back from injury and giving a whole-hearted display, making some great tackles and winning individual battles with the centre forwards.
