Within the first few minutes of the game Jamie Moss, Patrick O’Halloran and Olly Down strung a delightful passage of play up the left hand side, winning a corner. This suggested that the game would very much flow in Team BTC’s way.
A short goal kick to Ryan Sandford was clipped up and then met by a neat flick by Pat O’Halloran onto the chest of Jamie Moss. He held up the ball superbly to help get the wingers and supporting striker in the game, shuffling across and slotting the ball beautifully into the path of Noah Coppin who rounded the keeper and rolled it into an empty net.
With a few minutes to go, the Team BTC boys saw the game out with some mature game management and started to get the winning feeling back in the group, ending the game with a 5-2 win. A good performance and a good win, but always room for improvement.
Result:
Team BTC 5 Bath College 2
Man of the match:
Nathan Byrne and Jamie Moss
Nathan for being robust in the middle of the park, taking on some criticism at the start and then reacting in the correct way to perform as he did.
Jamie Moss was always a handful up front, giving both centre backs problems throughout. He deserved his two goals at pivotal times in the game.
