The game started off quickly with neither team dominating early on. SGS scored first with a quick counter attack down the right hand side and a well taken goal. Team BTC didn’t drop their heads and reacted with a great counter attack themselves within 5 minutes. Jack Taylor claimed a loose ball in his box and released Will Westbrook, who took his chance superbly on the volley.

Chances were still being created for both teams but SGS took theirs well and gained a two goal lead after 30 minutes. Team BTC didn’t stop and responded well with some nice football being played through the thirds which led to Matt Harper putting the ball in the top corner of the goal. Half time approached and it was all to play for.

The second half started evenly but within 10 minutes there was a costly mistake which allowed SGS to go through and score again to make it 4-2. Team BTC kept their composure, enabling Callum Pope to make a great cross and Will Westbrook to score his second goal with his head.

It was 4-3 and all to play for with 20 minutes remaining. However, SGS managed to score two goals late on to kill the game off.

With plenty of games left to play in the season, Team BTC are looking forward to the next game where they can continue to improve their defence and their decision making in possession.
