Team BTC Men’s 3 Football team have put in an outstanding away performance scoring 11 goals.

On a sunny winter’s day, the Men’s 3’s were set to play a fantastic facility at Kingston Maurward. The team played some beautiful football from the off, including some intricate passes through the thirds, slicing through Maurward with purpose. An early headed corner from Charlie White put BTC in front and it was wave after wave of BTC attack with just the finishing touches missing.

Debutants Jake Brice and Cameron Richardson controlled the midfield, winning the ball quickly and playing forward passes into good areas. Before long, BTC found the net again, only to be dealt a sucker punch when a Maurward freekick was met by a good header. Jake Brice almost instantly responded with a driven shot into the top-right corner, but it was Maurward who on the stroke of half time, again used their set pieces to good effect. The teams went in at 4-2 with the score line not quite reflecting the performance.

In the second half, BTC’s dominance started to pay off as they found the net numerous times. They sealed a convincing 11-2 victory which included a range of different scorers and some expertly taken goals.
