Team BC Elite Football stormed five points clear at the top of the league as they put in their best performance of the season with a comprehensive 4 – 0 win over Paignton Community College.

Team BC dominated the game from start to finish with the backline of Charlie White, Harry Horton, Rhys Hayward and Kye Whelan all in commanding form. It was White who opened the scoring after 17 minutes when he rose highest to powerfully head home a Kye Whelan corner.

It was 2 Р0 after 25 minutes when impressive midfielder Alex Male broke up play, fed striker Harry Fitchew whose excellent individual run was finished off by Charlie Bridges who coolly slotted home for six yards.

The home sides lead was extended further shortly before half time when Owen Sellick continued his fine goal scoring form by capping an excellent team move with a neat finish.

Team BCs dominance continued in to the second half with forwards Stan Smith and Harry Fitchew causing the Paignton backline untold problems. It was Fitchew himself that finished off the rout after his powerful run was finished with a well struck shot leaving the away goalkeeper with no chance.

Final Score: Team BC 4 – 0 Paignton Community College

Luke Bukingham, Head Coach said,

“I was delighted with the players today, despite the difficult conditions they played with an excellent mentality and we were unlucky not to score more. It was a thoroughly professional performance from the whole squad and it’s put us in a good position in the league. We have a string of tough remaining fixtures, which will be a good test for the players, but we know that on our day we can be a match for anyone.”
