Mulberry apprentices from their Willows and Rookery factories caught an executive coach to London for their Apprenticeship graduation.
The apprentices and their assessors from Bridgwater College arrived at Mulberry’s Head Office in Kensington Church Street to be met by Rob Billington, ‚ÄéGroup Production and Sourcing Director for Mulberry.
Apprentices met Thierry Andretta (CEO of Mulberry) who spoke about the achievements of the apprentices and how valuable they are to the company. Each apprentice was then awarded a Mulberry certificate recognising their completion of the Level 2 Leather Goods Apprenticeship. This qualification has enabled them to gain new skills ranging from sewing, skiving, cutting and finishing. They are now fully qualified to help out at any area within the factory with some specialising in their chosen area.
After group photos with Thierry and Rob, the apprentices where taken down into the main reception area for more photos in front of large image of Georgia May Jagger followed by a tour of HQ showing them where the designs are created, how Visual Merchandising works and where inspiration is taken from.
Apprentices and staff then made their way to New Bond Street to the flagship store to meet with the store manager and they were all treated to a glass of champagne before having some time to make a few purchases!
For some of the group, this was their first time in London and Chelsea Tucker, apprentice from Street said,
“The experience was really exciting!”
