Bridgwater College has received validation from Oxford Brookes University to run a new Foundation Degree in Sports Science with Sports Coaching and Education for undergraduates who want to stay close to home whilst studying a university level course.
The two year programme, that is due to start in September 2015, will be led by experienced staff, with many years’ experience within the industry. It is designed for those who want to work in sports science, including roles such as sports analysis, psychological guidance and laboratory-based sports science testing, or people who are looking to work within sports coaching and education.
The College will also offer a Top Up degree that students can study at Bridgwater College or Oxford Brookes University.
The course will replace the current HND Sport options at the College and will enable students to undertake work placements during the course as well as having the opportunity to interact with the College’s Team BC elite performance teams by working with the existing coaches and sports scientists.
