Bridgwater & Taunton College (BTC) students were celebrating A Level results today highlighting another year of stellar academic performances and individual triumphs. This year, the college achieved a remarkable 100% pass rate across 21 A-Level subjects, with a number of subjects achieving 100% A*-C grades. Subjects such English Language and Literature and Sociology saw a record number of A* to B grades, with students achieving an overall 5% increase in high grades, in comparison with the previous year.

Andy Berry CBE, Principal & Chief Executive at BTC, said

“I am so proud. Our students work really hard and their dedication has paid off with fantastic results. We are excited to see them move on to prestigious universities or begin promising careers.”

Liz Nuttall, Head of A Levels, shared her excitement,

“Today we celebrate the success of our students and staff. The achievements reflect their hard work and commitment. I am confident our students are well-prepared for the next steps and I wish them all the very best. They have secured places at some of the UK’s most prestigious universities and organisations.”

Students have accepted places at top universities such as Oxford, Durham, Edinburgh, Bristol and Manchester to study a variety of subjects such as Law, Criminology, Maths and Physics whilst others have secured highly sought after and competitive degree level apprenticeships in areas such as Nuclear Engineering and IT.

A Level student James said, “I am thrilled to have achieved three A grades and am grateful for the support I received during my time at BTC.”
