A group of Public Services students at Bridgwater College were recently given the opportunity to spend a day with the Royal Air Force (RAF) Engagement Team.
The RAF team travelled from their base in Cornwall to run activities such as interview skills workshops, team building skills and a careers talk about the variety of jobs available within the Royal Air Force.
With more than sixty career opportunities available to them, the students were able to question the team to find out more about the roles and responsibilities involved in working for the RAF.
Sgt El Stralker from the Engagement team said,
“I was very impressed with the student’s aptitude, behaviour and skills. Our visit to Bridgwater College was one of the best that our team has done.”
Shelagh Fairweather, who is studying the Level 1 in Public Services at Bridgwater College said,
“The day was really interesting; it has made her consider a career in the Air Force.”
Student, Miles Collins added,
“The interview work shop was excellent, it’s taught me a number of new skills that will benefit me in the future.”
