Students from Bridgwater & Taunton College’s Uniformed Public Services courses have spent two days at Pier Cellars in Cornwall taking part in an inter-college competition, run by the Royal Navy.
The competition introduced the students to tasks and equipment used in the Royal Navy, while they competed against eight other teams. The activities included leadership and teamwork tasks which were all scored. On the second day they completed a 10km timed walk, followed by lunch and a presentation.
During the two days students worked hard to achieve 24 hours of work experience and enrichment activities and produced evidence for specific units on their course.
Hollie Williams said,
“As I want to join the Royal Navy, this was a great insight and has boosted my desire to join.”
