The Bridgwater & Taunton College (BTC) Apprenticeship Jobs Fair continues to grow in popularity, solidifying its place as a key event for both employers and prospective apprentices. This year’s fair, held once again at the McMillan Theatre, saw an even larger turnout, with record numbers of students seizing the opportunity to connect with top employers across various industries.
A diverse mix of local, national, and international businesses attended the event, including long-standing BTC partners such as EDF, Mulberry, Somerset Larder, Taylor Woodrow, Thatchers, NHS Somerset and Yeo Valley. Employers were eager to meet potential apprentices and showcase exciting career opportunities available within their organisations.
The fair provided a valuable interactive platform for attendees to engage directly with employers, explore apprenticeship opportunities, and gain insights into industry trends. BTC staff were also on hand to offer guidance on the College’s extensive Apprenticeship courses, covering sectors such as Business Administration, Computing, Automotive, Nuclear, Health & Social Care, Sport and more.
BTC’s Head of Business Growth and Customer Insights, Lucy Hawkins, reflected on the event’s success:
“We are delighted to see the BTC Apprenticeship Jobs Fair continue to grow each year. The turnout was fantastic, and we are incredibly grateful to our employer partners for their support in making this event such a valuable experience for aspiring apprentices. Together, we are raising awareness of the incredible opportunities available through apprenticeships in Somerset and beyond.”
BTC remains committed to supporting both employers and learners, offering over 100 Apprenticeship courses in partnership with leading businesses. For more information and to explore current vacancies, visit www.btc.ac.uk/find-a-course/apprenticeships.
